You can buy some of our books online. Click here to see them. However, only about 2000 of our books are listed at any one time, so if there is a particular title you are looking for, email us and we will check our shelves. We don't sell our maps or ephemera online at present - for those you will have to visit the shop in person.
The internet stock is stored seperately, so please let us know in advance if you would like to see a particular book when you visit the shop.
Orders are shipped within one business day. Posting and packaging is charged at cost. As a rough guide, a parcel weighing up to 1kg (which includes all but the larger hardbacks) would be about £4 first class within the UK. A paperback book is likely to be a lot less. We don't cut corners with packaging: each book is sent out with sufficient protection to ensure it reaches you dry and undamaged. We only use Royal Mail services.
We take full responsibility for the book until it is safely in your hands. If the book is not as described by us, let us know immediately. You will then be able to return it for a full refund including your postage costs. Additionally, if you decide you just don't want the book, but there is nothing wrong with it, tell us straight away. If a return is agreed, it will be at your own expense but we will refund the full purchase price provided we get the book back in the same condition as when it left us.
Mail order payments can be made using PayPal or most credit and debit cards.
